Evil stirs in the depths of the Gauntlight, a lighthouse where the evil sorcerer Belcorra Haruvex once attempted to raise an army of monsters, hundreds of years ago. Brave heroes ventured into a dungeon full of beasts and traps to prevent the spiteful villain from rising again. Hundreds of years have since passed, and the town of Otari, named after one of those heroes of long ago, has prospered and grown. Evil is once more stirring, and the Gauntlight, long since dormant, begins to hum with an unholy power. Otari needs someone to investigate, to delve once more into the depths of the Gauntlight, and find out what, exactly, is occurring in its depths.
